We specialize in teaching basic handgun courses as well as the State mandated CHL (Concealed Handgun License) course. Your instructors, Wyatt Bellis and Mark Northrup, are extremely knowledgeable in the requirements to obtain your CHL in Texas as well as the safe operation of firearms and the fundamentals of marksmanship. Our classes are fun and informative and our goal is to make everyone feel at ease during your time with us. We use a combination of multi-media presentations as well as hands-on instruction in order to ensure you receive the highest quality of instruction. The State of Texas mandates that you attend a  course taught by certified instructors that lasts a minimum of 10 hours in order to attain your CHL.

If you decide to book with another instructor, our advice is to check they have current liability insurance. Not all instructors have this and are teaching without it. We have current liability insurance so everyone is protected.

If you have little or no shooting experience, we would recommend that you attend both our "Learn to Shoot I and II" classes and gain some experience prior to booking your CHL class. These classes are 2 hours long and include everything you need to know to get started, including:

  • The safe operation of firearms and how they should be stored

  • How to correctly "break down" and clean your firearms

  • How to correctly load and unload

  • How to clear stoppages

  • The fundamentals of marksmanship

  • Range instruction to practice some of what you have learned
